Inside the Workshop: How to Build an Unstoppable Scrum

The “Scrum Secrets from the Highest Level” workshop has been designed to provide participants with a complete blueprint for scrum dominance. Whether you are a player striving to improve technique or a coach seeking to elevate your pack, this workshop delivers practical strategies you can apply immediately on the pitch.

Key learning areas will include:

  • Foundation & Body Positioning – mastering balance, leverage, and alignment to maximize power.

  • Connection & Synergy – binding and engaging as a unified pack of eight.

  • Power Generation – unlocking the mechanics of leg drive, core strength, and angles.

The workshop will conclude with a live Q&A session, giving attendees the unique opportunity to ask Alex their own questions and gain tailored insights. Alex Corbisiero: A Career of Excellence

Few names in modern rugby carry as much authority in the scrum as Alex Corbisiero. Over an illustrious playing career, he earned more than 150 professional and international caps, representing:

  • England, including the 2011 Rugby World Cup and multiple Six Nations campaigns.

  • The British & Irish Lions, most notably starting and scoring in the decisive 3rd Test against Australia in 2013.

  • London Irish (2008–2013) and Northampton Saints (2013–2016), where he lifted the Premiership title.

Following his retirement in 2016, Corbisiero transitioned into a coaching and media career, combining deep technical knowledge with a passion for teaching. His coaching résumé includes roles with England U18s & U20s, USA U20s, Penn State, UCLA Rugby, Los Angeles Giltinis, and San Diego Legion, as well as serving as a World Rugby High-Performance Scrum Consultant. He is also a respected analyst and commentator for NBC Sports, making him one of the most recognizable rugby voices in the United States.
